From Eastbound I-40 (From Raleigh, Cary, Durham area)
When entering the Wilmington area, look for a large sign that says “Wilmington Downtown / 74 West”. (Note: This is one of three signs over the top of I-40……the sign on the left says Wrightsville Beach the one in the middle says Carolina Beach and the one on the right says Wilmington Downtown) Take this exit and you will be turning right onto the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Travel approximately five miles and the parkway will bring you into downtown Wilmington. As you enter the downtown area you will be on N. 3rd Street. Continue five blocks and turn right on Walnut Street. Follow Walnut to the bottom of the hill (4 blocks) and turn left onto Water street (at the Hilton Hotel). Follow Water Street along the river for seven blocks to the first stop sign. This is Ann Street. The Cape Fear River Deck is on your right.
From 17 South (Jacksonville area)
When entering the Wilmington area you will be on “Market Street”. You will see a large overhead sign reading “Wilmington Downtown”. You will turn right here onto Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Travel approximately five miles and the parkway will bring you into downtown Wilmington. As you enter the downtown area you will be on N. 3rd Street. Continue five blocks and turn right on Walnut Street. Follow Walnut to the bottom of the hill (4 blocks) and turn left onto Water street (at the Hilton Hotel). Follow Water Street along the river for seven blocks to the first stop sign. This is Ann Street. The Cape Fear River Deck is on your right.
From 74-76 W-B (From Lumberton and Whiteville area)
As you enter the Wilmington area you will cross over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Continue off the bridge and turn left on 3rd Street (Burger King). Travel five blocks and turn left on Ann Street. Follow Ann three blocks to the river. The Cape Fear River Deck is directly in front of you.
From 74-76 E-B (From Wrightsville Beach area)
Leaving Wrightsville beach you cross over the Wrightsville Beach Bridge and are now on Eastwood Avenue. Continue straight on Eastwood Avenue to Market Street. Cross over Market Street and Eastwood Avenue becomes Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Continue on MLK Blvd for several miles. Pass the ILM international airport on your right. Continue a few miles and you will enter the Historic Downtown area on N. 3rd Street. Continue through town, cross Market Street and travel another three blocks to Ann St. Turn right on Ann and travel three blocks to the river. The Cape Fear River Deck is on your left behind Candles Etc.
From Carolina Beach Road (Carolina Beach area)
As you enter downtown Wilmington you will be on S. 3rd Street. Turn left on Ann street and follow Ann three blocks to the river. The Cape Fear River Deck is on your left behind Candles Etc.
If you are already in the Historic Downtown area
Head downhill to the river. Turn right on Water Street (this is the street that runs along the river). Follow water street to Ann Street (the first stop sign).
Candles Etc. and The Cape Fear River Deck are on your right.
Note: Free parking is available for all Cape Fear River Deck guests in the lot adjacent to us as well as in front of both Elijah’s and Pilot House Restaurants. Parking is also available in the Wharehouse Shops lot directly across from our lot. This parking is $5.00 for unlimited time. On street metered parking is available and meter enforcement ends at 6:30 PM.
The Hilton Wilmington Riverside provides free shuttle service from the hotel to the Cape Fear River Deck. The “free” Downtown Trolley passes by the Cape Fear River Deck every ten minutes and travels throughout the downtown area.
